Horse Racing Stats
The Flatstats site contains unlimited stats for horses, sires, trainers, jockeys, owners and races.
Why so many stats? What could you possibly do with all that information?
In this game information is the key to success. Not any old information, but quality information. Having quality statistical information at your fingertips can you give you a big edge over other punters.
Anyone can pick up a daily newspaper and see that Sir Mark Prescott has a 25% strike rate in 3yo races. But what is that telling us? Is it profitable to back all his runners in 3yo races? Or will a big loss be made?
Flatstats gives you more. Flatstats not only indicates the strike rate but also the more significant impact value and A/E index. Use this data in conjunction with the ROI% and you have a powerful set of statistical tools.
In this day and age you need as much information as possible. If a race looks tricky to analyse then the more useful statistics you have about a runner, the quicker you can make a decision to bet it or not.
What kind of Horse Racing Stats does Flatstats show?
The Flatstats site is tuned to supply 'profile' kind of stats. That is, each horse, trainer, jockey, sire, owner and race sometimes conforms to a certain profile.
By looking at the profile of an item we can see certain traits which can indicate if a runner is a good bet or not.
- Horses may prefer to run on right handed tracks
- Trainers may not do so well after a horse has had a lay off
- Jockeys may not be able to handle certain distances
- Sires may produce a high strike rate with first time out runners
- Owners may have strong preferences for certain parts of the country
The stats can be as simple or as complex as you like. For each item you can see the 'full' stats, or the 'quick' stats. The quick stats filters results to only show the most significant data.
Each row of data is displayed in colour. Blue is a good stat, green neither good or bad, red is a bad stat. If you want to back a horse to win you should ensure there are some blues in its profile, if you want to lay it, ensure there are plenty of red stats.
But I'm no good at maths. I may not understand the stats
As stated above, all you have to do is look out for the blue and red colours.
You do not need calculators or a powerful PC to use the Flatstats statistics. We have done all the number crunching for you and display the stats in easy to read tables in full colour.
