How to use the Stats Tables Reports
Basics
The stats tables lists jockeys, sires, trainers etc. in a leaderboard format. You can use the tables to rank jockeys or sires to instantly see which are the best and which are the worst. You can filter the report for specific types of races or course. You can also filter the report by season to see the current 'best jockeys'.
Report Options
You can run a report for either turf or all weather. The report can be displayed either on the same page or in a separate pop up window. The same page option is good for running quick reports but shows less information than the pop up report. On the pop up report you can view extra information such as place stats and stats for the past 28 days.
The reports you can generate are for Jockeys, Trainers, Sires, Dam Sires and Owners. In the advanced section you can also generate reports for Trainer / Jockey Combinations and Sire / Dams Sire combinations. Each report can be initially sorted by name, strike rate, profit etc. but once the report is displayed you can re-sort the table by clicking on any of the column headers.
Season Stats Tables
This is a quick report which shows a leaderboard table per season. If you select turf mode you can see the jockey rankings per year (roughly March to November). If you select all weather mode the information is per all weather season (November to November).
Advanced Tables
In the advanced section you can create reports for any course, or any type of race or race condition. Here are some examples of the type of reports you can generate:
- Jockeys per Course - rank jockeys at Ascot
- Trainers in Handicap Races - rank trainers in handicap races
- Sires of 2yos - rank sires by strike rate for their 2yo horses
- Owners in Selling races - rank owners in selling races
- Trainers FTO - rank trainers by their success with first time out runners
- T/J Combinations in Group Races - rank trainer and jockey combinations for the very best races
- Jockeys on Odds-On Favourites - rank jockeys by their success on very short priced favourites
To generate an advanced table select the item you wish to analyse, change the default threshold (if necessary), select a default sort option and then configure the form for the type of race you wish to analyse. Note that the threshold is useful to filter out items with low sample sizes. The default is 100 but you could go as low as 1 if you wish.
To generate a leaderboard report ranking Trainers Profitability with Favourites set the advanced section like this:
1. In the advanced form change Item to Trainers
2. Change the Sort Option from Strike Rate to ROI%
3. Scroll down the page to the Horse Details, SP Section and check the box for 1st Fav

5. Now click any of the Generate Report buttons to see the report!
The report table ranks trainers by profitabilty with favourites. At the top of the table you will see smaller yards who would tend to be underbet with favourites and thus profitable, whilst at the bottom of the table you will see trainers who are overbet, or underachieve with their favourites.
